How much does discipline really matter in casino games?

I was having a discussion with a friend the other day about casino games. We were debating what's more important for long-term success or even just having a good time: having a solid strategy, or simply incredible discipline. I tend to think strategy plays a huge role, especially in games like poker or blackjack, but he insisted that discipline trumps everything. How much does discipline really matter in casino games, in your opinion?

That's a really interesting point to ponder, and I lean towards your friend's perspective that discipline is incredibly vital. While strategy is undeniably important for optimizing your chances in certain games, a lack of discipline can completely undermine even the best strategies.
