Hi everyone, I wanted to ask something because last weekend I ended up in a really annoying situation after finishing dinner with friends near Masdar City. When I tried to start my car, absolutely nothing happened except a weak clicking sound, and for a moment I honestly thought maybe I had left the lights on without noticing. The strange thing is the battery never gave me any warning before that night. Usually you can feel the engine struggling a bit or see some dashboard sign, but this time it just completely stopped working out of nowhere. Since it was already pretty late, I started checking online from my phone while sitting in the parking area and noticed several people talking about car battery service in Masdar City because apparently battery problems there are more common than I expected, especially with cars parked outside for long hours in the heat. What surprised me most was how fast everything can go wrong even when the car seems perfectly fine earlier in the day. I ended up waiting around feeling stressed because I wasn’t sure if I should tow the car or try finding someone who could come directly to the location. Thankfully things worked out eventually, but the whole experience made me realize I know almost nothing about battery lifespan here in Abu Dhabi compared to where I used to live before. I’m curious if other people replace their batteries proactively every couple of years or if you simply wait until problems start happening. Also wondering whether certain brands actually survive longer in this weather because after that experience I definitely don’t want to risk getting stranded again unexpectedly, especially during the summer months when even standing outside for a while feels exhausting.
