I just had to share this because honestly I'm still smiling about it. My 640i had been feeling really off for months now, just this weird hesitation when accelerating from a standstill and a rough idle that made me dread sitting at traffic lights. I took it to a couple of places and they kept telling me it was fine, that I was imagining things, but I know my car and I knew something wasn't right. Eventually I found a shop that actually took the time to listen to what I was describing and didn't just brush me off, and it turned out to be a combination of worn ignition coils and a vacuum leak that was messing with the air-fuel mixture. They sorted everything out, did a full diagnostic and even updated the engine software while they were at it, and the difference is honestly night and day. The car pulls smoothly now, the idle is silky quiet, and it feels like I'm driving a brand new vehicle again. It's such a relief to finally have it sorted because I was starting to think about selling it and getting something else, but now I remember why I fell in love with this car in the first place. I'm based in the capital and I really feel like I lucked out finding Expert BMW Service in Abu Dhabi because they actually understood the platform and didn't just guess their way through the repairs. Anyway just wanted to share a positive experience for once since we usually only hear about the bad ones on here.
