Mass Texting – Effective Communication or Too Much Noise?

Hey everyone,
I’m exploring mass texting for my small business to keep customers updated on promotions and events.
It seems like a quick and direct way to reach a lot of people at once.
But I’m also worried it might feel spammy if not done right.
Has anyone here used mass texting tools before (like Twilio, EZ Texting, or similar)?
How do you manage opt-ins and avoid annoying your audience?
Also, is it better for marketing, alerts, or internal team updates?
I’d love to hear your success stories (or horror stories!) about using mass texting.
Is it still effective in 2025 with all the other messaging platforms out there?
